Important Notice:
Alhamdulillah, Masjid Al Furqan is now open for daily congregational prayers (from Fajr on Wednesday 2 December)
We request all musallees to please:
– Perform Wudhu at home. (Wudhu/Toilet facilities will be out of use)
– Bring your own prayer mat
– Please bring a face mask and keep it on for the full duration (as per government guidelines)
– Sanitise your hands upon entry and exit
– Once inside, head to the front of the masjid.
– Maintain social distancing guidelines at all times
– Follow instructions from the volunteers
– Do not gather around outside the Masjid after salah
– Masjid will open 15 mins before salah and close 15 mins after.

Other Services we Provide
We offer classes for both brothers and sisters, ranging from hifz classes and tajweed for the brothers through to Quran, tajweed and fiqh classes for sisters.

Madrasah Al Furqan is an evening madrasah catering for boys and girls aged 4 ½ to 16. We currently two courses:
- Nazirah for boys and girls (aged 4 ½ to 12 yrs)
- Hifz for boys (aged 10 to 16 yrs)

Nikah is a Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon them). The Masjid conducts Nikah ceremonies for a small fee. If you would like to arrange a Nikah at the Masjid, please contact Brother Yusuf or Brother Iqbal during Salaah times.
The following documents would be required when completing the application:
- A birth certificate
- A valid Passport
- If previously married, a divorce certificate
In case of Janazah, please follow the advice and guidance offered online by the Muslim Burial Council of Leicestershire (MBCOL).
In Case of any issues or the need for an imam to lead the janazah salaah please contact us and we will offer any support we can.
We also offer the use of our Al Furqan Hall to help facilitate for visitors and ta’ziyat of the deceased (hall is subject to availability).
Our masjid has a hall to hire for small to medium gatherings with segregation available. Being close to the masjid it allows brothers to perform salaah with Jama’at. All rental income from the hall contributes towards the running of the masjid and madrasah.
